What to write to us about
Account and listings
Trouble signing in, a listing you cannot remove, or a suspension you believe was a mistake. Write from your UTD address so we can match the request to your account.
Privacy requests
Access, correction, export, or deletion of your data. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it.
Copyright and trademark
Notices of claimed infringement, and counter-notices. See the procedure below.
Security vulnerabilities
Report privately and give us reasonable time to fix the issue. Do not access, alter, or download other people’s data while testing.
Response times and limits
UniSell is operated by a small team, and support is answered during normal working hours. We aim to acknowledge messages within a few business days; we cannot promise a response time and we do not offer round-the-clock monitoring.
This is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, or a crime is in progress, call 911. For incidents on campus, contact the UT Dallas Police Department directly. We cannot recover your money, mediate payment disputes, or act as a substitute for law enforcement.
Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and expect our members to do the same. Do not upload photos, cover art, text, or other material you do not own or have permission to use, and do not list counterfeit goods or unauthorised copies of course material.
If you believe material on UniSell infringes your copyright, send a written notice to the legal address above that includes: your signature (physical or electronic); identification of the work you say is infringed; identification of the specific listing or material and enough detail for us to find it; your contact details; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
We remove material that is the subject of a valid notice and may suspend accounts that infringe repeatedly. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in either a notice or a counter-notice can carry legal liability.
Legal notices and requests from authorities
Formal legal notices, and requests from law enforcement or the university, should be sent to the legal address above and should identify the specific accounts or records sought and the legal basis for the request. We disclose member data only where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of people using the service.
